I am committed to ensuring that my client’s feel heard, respected and understood. Further, I believe in improving a person’s wellbeing through targeting difficulties in their mental health, physical health and relationships.
I am focused on achieving outcomes for you and will tailor your treatment according to your goals. I work from a positive, solution-focused approach aimed at creating meaningful symptom relief and long-term changes that that persist after your counselling is complete. I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Schema Therapy (Schema Mode). For trauma I use a number of trauma-focused treatments including Prolonged exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy (a trauma-focused CBT). I frequently use behaviour change strategies to help my clients to break bad habits and improve their health and to support their mental health.
