I’m Abbie, a general psychologist who is endorsed with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. I have worked across private practice, hospital, community and school settings and have experience providing evidence-based
therapies with adolescents and adults.

My Therapeutic Approach

I utilise a person-centred, neuro-affirming and trauma-informed approach incorporating a number of evidence based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) principles, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, EMDR and somatic experiencing techniques.

I believe the client-therapist relationship is fundamental for successful therapy. I am committed to creating a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space, and utilising this in helping clients overcome challenges, build emotional resilience and enhance self-awareness. I am particularly interested in understanding how early life experiences and relationships impact on present difficulties/concerns.
